Current Morning Skincare Routine

I change my skincare routines up often, I never want my skin to get too used to one product, and being a blogger I'm lucky enough to always be getting new products to test out, and I'm eager to always buy new products too.  I just recently switched up some of my products, so I thought sharing an updated morning routine would be appropriate for today's post!

Morning Skincare Routine

I know some people will disagree, but I think it's important to wash your face in the morning.  I've read how a lot of women prefer to just splash water on their face and move on with their routine, but for me with a more oily complexion, washing my face in the morning helps prep my skin for makeup, a long day of makeup, at that.

My first step in the morning is to wash my face with my new REN ClearCalm3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser, this has been, by far, my new favorite addition to my skincare routine.  It's an antibacterial cleanser that unclogs and minimizes pores.  It sets my skin up for the day & I'll be writing a more thorough review soon.

Next, I follow up with one of two toners.  On days when I'm feeling my skin isn't at it's best, I soak a cotton square in my Clinique 'Acne Solutions' Clarifying Lotion and swipe it all over my face and neck.  My skin feels incredible and, this isn't going to sound so great, but sterile.  I can feel the treatment in this product.  If I don't need something so strong I reach for my Boots Botanics Rosewater Tonic, which is more refreshing and light.

Step #3 is serum, and in the morning right now I'm using my Valentia Royal Rose Hydrating Serum, which is perfect for calming my redness and delivering a punch of vitamins and hydration to my morning.  I have a full review of this product, here!  After serum I apply my eye cream, which for my morning routine has been the Prescriptives Super Line Preventer Eye Serum.  I received this product in my Birchbox, and the sample size actually packs a ton of product in it.  I don't use very much, a little goes a long way, but I've been using this sample size for about a month now!  It has a price tag of $55, which is a lot for an eye cream, and I honestly cannot tell if it's doing anything since I don't have under eye issues, but it has been a fun experience adding it into my routine.

My last step in the morning is my moisturizer, and I rarely change up this product in my routine.  I've been using Origins VitaZing SPF 15 since it came out because I am truly obsessed with it.  I wrote a full review on it, here, back in 2011!!  VitaZing has a bit of a tint to it, but not too much at all, it gives great hydration and leaves me looking like I don't need much makeup.

REN ClearCalm3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser | $32
Clinique 'Acne Solutions' Clarifying Lotion | $16
Boots Botanics Rosewater Tonic | $8.39
What products are you currently using in the morning?  Do you have different AM & PM routines?!
